21-year-old Man Arrested, Charged With Murder in Greenwood Boat Ramp Shooting

A twenty-one-year-old man was taken into custody and accused in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred on Tuesday at the Greenwood Boat Ramp.

It’s Louisville. He is charged with murder, assault, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a pistol by a convicted felon, according to the Metro Police Department, who announced on Thursday that they had arrested James O. Reece, who is from Louisville.

“At approximately three in the morning, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 8200 block of Greenwood Road,” said Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department. The location is close to Cane Run Road.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered a man who had been shot. EMS brought the man to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Ellis stated that officers gave a chest seal to the individual.

After further investigation, the victim was determined to be Jayson Manookian.

Ellis reported that a second individual was transported to the hospital by private means with a gunshot wound that was sustained during the same incident. Ellis has stated that the injuries sustained by that individual are not believed to be life-threatening as per WDRB.

The arraignment for Reece took place on Friday morning, and he is currently being held at Metro Corrections. His bond was set at one million dollars by the judge.
