Court records reveal that the tragic death of an 8-year-old boy, whose body was discovered before an Amber Alert was issued for his siblings, was caused by "deep neck compression." A court hearing is scheduled for Monday morning for Lashanda Wilder, 32, and her girlfriend Johnna Lowe, 33, in Franklin County Municipal Court. Wilder is facing charges of murder and obstruction of justice, while Lowe is facing an obstruction of justice charge. The Franklin County Coroner's office has officially determined that the boy's death was a homicide, according to court records. Police have reported that Wilder and two of her children were the focus of an Amber Alert that was issued on Friday night. During their investigation, authorities discovered the body of Martonio Wilder, the son of the suspect, concealed in a trash bag in the attic of the family's residence, as reported by the police. Wilder's two other children were located unharmed with one of Lowe's acquaintances later on Friday evening following the issuance of the alert. They were entrusted to the care of Franklin County Children Services. According to court records, Columbus police were initially contacted by Wilder regarding the whereabouts of Martonio. She reported that she had last seen him on Thursday night at their home, prompting the police to respond to the situation on Friday at noon. Authorities have issued a missing person's advisory for Martonio, however, they have not escalated it to an Amber Alert. After conducting a K-9 search of the neighborhood, Wilder and Lowe departed without informing the authorities of their destination. Accompanying them were two additional children, one aged 9 and the other aged 3. After failing to locate Wilder, the police obtained a search warrant for the home. This eventually led to the tragic discovery of the boy's body. Wilder and Lowe were taken into police custody by 5 p.m. on Saturday after arrest warrants were issued for both of them earlier in the day.
