66-year-old Man Take Down Car Jacker in Florida; Tried to Break into Truck of Elder Man Before Victim Sprang into Action

An alleged thief in Florida received a well-deserved lesson when he attempted to break into the truck of a 66-year-old man. According to authorities, the older gentleman proved to be more than a match for the would-be robber.

An incident occurred early Thursday morning when the truck owner contacted 911 upon discovering an individual, identified as 29-year-old Blake Robinson, attempting to break into his truck outside his residence in Brevard County, as reported by authorities.

An elderly man stepped outside to confront Robinson, who proceeded to strike him in the head and forcefully throw him to the ground. The assault continued as Robinson proceeded to kick the man in the head, as reported by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office on social media.

However, the individual reacted swiftly, striking Robinson and successfully bringing him down to the ground — where law enforcement eventually apprehended him.

“Deputies arrived on scene and were able to quickly detain Robinson, who was seemingly having a tough time getting up off of the ground, after getting his butt whipped by a 66-year-old man!!” Sheriff Wayne Ivey wrote on Facebook.

Robinson received medical attention at the hospital before being handed over to the authorities. The victim received only minor medical attention and did not sustain any significant injuries as reported by NY Post.

“As for Robinson, he was fortunate enough to be in Brevard County where he won a few prizes for being stupid including a chauffeured ride to a local medical facility to check his injuries before arriving at his less than luxurious accommodations at ‘Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge!!’” Ivey wrote in the post.

Robinson is facing serious charges, including felony battery of an elderly person and attempted burglary of a vehicle. He was taken into custody and held at the Brevard County Jail with a bond set at $30,000.
